Yes, this is mangled Gaelic languages at their best.
"Arda" - high, lofty.
"Dubh" - dark
"Glass" - stranger.
"Dubhglass", of course, became the modern name "Douglas," so beloved of the Scots as first, middle, and/or last names.
So, this is an attempt at "tall dark stranger."
